Our main tracks are still UNION and HVCC but CBA looks likely after Dec 30, so there may be some changes after January 1.

We still strongly need many officials for our SPRINGFIELD INVITATIONAL which is Sunday, January 7. THERE IS A $30 stipend for attending this meet in addition to your regular pay.

​

LOOK OVER THE SCHEDULE. (Schedule, as always, is subject to change)

SEND ME YOUR AVAILABILITY. As well as your 3 'favorite' positions: i.e. Finish line, PV, weights, door, results, etc.

I will also collect availability at the meeting and will ATTEMPT to have the MAINFRAME OF ASSIGNMENTS OUT ASAP as we start Sunday, Dec. 3rd.

The Capital District Track & Field Officials’ Organization will be holding new officials’ NYS Track, Field & Cross Country certification clinic cases at Colonie High School starting on Monday, January 22 at 6:00 PM to train prospective candidates for the 2024 outdoor track and field season.  Anyone interested in becoming a certified official should e-mail marktj50@gmail.com before January 12, 2024 to register for the clinic.  To get additional information and specific updates you can also consult our website https://cdto-ny.com . 

 

The 2024 officials’ NYS certification training classes for track, field & cross country are at Colonie High School from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.  The dates for those classes are:

Indoor Officials,

Our 2022-23 TCITL season concluded with league championship meets this past weekend.

We had a very successful season.

Several changes seemed to help entries no longer on cards! YEA! but on HYTEC computer seeding which immensely helped clerk, finish line, line clerks and field event officials. Thanks, Coach Pap! and Hip # 's for runners! Yea!

Anyway, thanks for all your help.

We will be collecting your assignor's fees at our February meeting (Monday Feb 13 @ 7 pm at the Clifton Park Library). Please make your check payable to: CDTO and give to John King or me at the meeting. Your fee is your number of assignments x $3...see attached sheet.

Just a word of encouragement for those who didn't receive as many meets as they requested. (We have WAY more requests than openings): but last year, Billy Martin and Kathleen Johnson were new and weren't assigned any meets at the start of the season but made themselves AVAILABLE and picked up some turned-in meets. THIS YEAR, they each received 16 assignments!

The best ability is AVAILABILITY!

**Note from CDTO President: We have just been informed the following about NYSPHSAA decision on mixed relays. -  That NYSPHSAA is allowing mixed relay competition as long as the same gender competes in the same leg of the relay.
